About Us

Greenlink Renewable Energy, created in 2014 as a renewable energy development and finance firm, focuses on waste-to-energy, plastic-to-fuels opportunities and securing capital for our projects. The firm’s founders worked together on a number of renewable energy, waste-to-energy, and regional transmission engagements in Latin America prior to forming Greenlink.

The firm, based in the Southeastern United States, is dedicated to the search for more effective, yet proven and bankable zero-waste solutions, technologies, and partners. We are partnered with Renewlogy, a global leader in plastic-to-fuel technology, to turn streams of waste plastic into valuable fuel resources.

Our knowledge, experience, and commitment to benefiting the planet has driven us to grow our team, which now includes representatives in Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Israel.

Robert has been a part of the waste and recycling industries in New York, New Jersey, Mexico, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic for over 15 years. In 2003, Robert founded Waste Removal & Recycling Services, Inc., to identify and implement optimal waste removal and disposal solutions for commercial clients in New York and New Jersey. The company later added recycling-related services to its offerings. As its clients were seeking innovative global recycling solutions for paper and plastics materials, they asked WRRS to assist them with this expansion into Latin America and the Caribbean.

Throughout his career, Robert has been highly entrepreneurial and has established businesses across the globe; in China, he established a car audio products and accessories factory and a business park, in the U.S, an international travel and meeting planning services company serving Fortune 500 clients, a telecommunications sales and services company, and a U.S.-to-Latin America money remittance company that holds banking licenses in 15 states.

John’s experience in the energy sector includes evaluating waste-to-energy technologies and identifying sources of financing for waste-to-energy and waste-to-fuel projects. Prior to founding Greenlink, John was engaged by a German solar developer seeking USD120 million for a 50 MW solar project in the Dominican Republic, a construct/own/operate team seeking USD180 million to execute the PETNAC transmission project in Guatemala, and by Crescent Communities (previously part of Duke Energy) to evaluate hundreds of parcels in their portfolio for potential solar development.

Prior to moving into the energy sector, John worked for over 30 years on large-scale technology, engineering and architectural projects for a diverse range of clients including Northrop Grumman, Bell Laboratories, Wells Fargo, Motorola GmbH, 3M, Chrysler, Cummins Engine, Ingersoll-Rand, Steelcase, Knoll, and Matsushita Electric Works. He worked with many federal, state, and local agencies to plan and execute high visibility projects.

John’s federal experience includes work with the U.S. Department of Defense (the Pentagon Renovation and MX Missile projects), U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Transportation, GSA, and the FBI, plus he held Top Secret DoD and FBI clearances. Notably, John served as Deputy Program Manager for the AECM Support Team on the Pentagon Renovation Program, where he worked daily with the executive leadership of the building’s tenants (OSD, Joint Staff, Army, Navy, Air Force, DIA, DISA, NSA, and USACE), and oversaw strategic planning, design, construction administration/inspecting and scheduling teams.

John earned a BS in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and did post-graduate work at the San Francisco Center for Architecture & Urban Studies.
